End of the Men's; Start of the Women's

Martin Kaymer became the first German US Open champion and did so in stunning fashion. Kaymer lead the tournament from tart to finish posting a US Open record for a 2 day total of -10 par. He finished at -9 which was 8 better than second place finishers Rickie Fowler and Eric Compton. The women begin play on Thursday June 18 and will be interesting to see how different the course plays for them, just one week after the Men. The atmosphere here in Pinehurst has been amazing and has been a great time for all ages. Spectators have been treated very well with plenty to do at night. Pinecrest Inn hosted a big block party where 2-3 thousand fans gathered a night. I am excited to see how the Women will fair this week as they get their shot at Pinehurst No. 2.
