Pinehurst NC, is looking to become the focal point of the golf world. With both the men's and women's United States Opens coming to Pinehurst No. 2 in back to back weeks. This will be the first time that the men's and women's Open's will be held at the same course in consecutive weeks. The men's tournament begins Thursday June 12th and will host 144 of the top male golfers from around the world. The women's tournament begins the following Thursday June 19th. This will be a historic moment for the game of golf and one that will be remembered.
I actually got to play a tournament at Pinehurst, although it was not No. 2, for a furniture company in Thomasville, NC. I used to follow golf closely, but since the Tiger downfall, I do not find it as interesting. I look forward to reading your posts as it may spark my interest back in the game.

ReplyDeleteKnowing that the US Open was in Pinehurst is pretty cool. I try to follow as much I can. I hope one day I'll be able to go the tournament next year.
