The 2014 Women's U.S Open wrapped up today in Pinehurst, NC. Michelle Wie took home her first major title. On Saturday I had a up close encounter with the eventual winner as she hit a shot wide to the right and I had to jump over her ball so it didn't hit me. This was seen on national television and was lucky enough to catch it later on TV thanks to DVR. Michelle was the leader on Saturday and fell into a tie going into Sunday. A big eagle putt on the tenth hole changed momentum and she was able to finish ahead of runner up Stacey Lewis. Pinehurst was the main focus for the golf world the last 2 weeks. Being able to spend time watching the best players on both the men's and women's side back to back weeks was a moment I will never forget.
